Aloha State Hockey Foundation works to reduce the financial and geographic barriers facing Hawaiʻi’s youth hockey players, helping create opportunities to compete, develop, and represent the islands.

What We Support
Helping Hawai'i players go further.
For Hawaiʻi families, competing beyond the islands means airfare, lodging, transportation, and tournament costs. Our goal is to bring together donors, partners, and our hockey community to help make those opportunities more accessible.
Raising funds to help offset eligible travel and tournament expenses so more players can experience competition beyond Hawaiʻi.
Working to reduce the cost of the gear and uniforms players need to participate and compete.
Expanding opportunities for girls to play, compete, and grow through hockey. Our efforts include supporting girls teams, development opportunities, and participation in events such as the Women’s Roller Hockey Draft Tournaments, where players can build confidence and connect with the wider girls and women’s hockey community.
Assistance depends on available funding, program eligibility, and the purpose of each campaign or grant.
Our Story
We’re Roy and Mandy Lezada, founders of Aloha State Hockey Foundation and parents of two young hockey players. We’ve experienced the commitment it takes to pursue the game from Hawaiʻi, including the added cost of traveling thousands of miles for tournaments and development opportunities.

We started ASHF to help reduce those barriers for more local families. Through fundraising, partnerships, and community support, we’re working toward a future where geography and financial circumstances don’t determine how far a player can go.
