Aloha State Hockey Foundation

Creating Opportunity Beyond the IslandsFor hockey players growing up in Hawaiʻi, meaningful competition and development often require traveling thousands of miles. Airfare, lodging, tournament registration, ground transportation, equipment, and other expenses can quickly place those opportunities out of reach for local families.Aloha State Hockey Foundation is a Hawaiʻi-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to reduce those barriers and create more pathways for players to compete, develop, and proudly represent the islands.

Our Mission

To reduce the financial and geographic barriers facing Hawaiʻi’s youth hockey players by expanding access to travel, tournament, and developmental opportunities through community, partnership, and aloha.

Our Vision

A Hawaiʻi where every youth hockey player has the opportunity to compete, develop, and represent the islands—regardless of financial circumstances.

Programs & Initiatives

Our programs are designed to address the unique challenges of pursuing hockey opportunities from Hawaiʻi. As the Foundation grows, initiatives may be offered directly by ASHF or developed in partnership with local leagues, teams, coaches, businesses, and community organizations.

Travel and Tournament Assistance

ASHF raises funds to help reduce eligible expenses associated with off-island hockey opportunities. Depending on available funding and the requirements of each program, assistance may help offset costs such as:

  • Tournament registration

  • Airfare and ground transportation

  • Lodging

  • Team or player entry fees

  • Uniforms and required equipment

Financial assistance is based on available resources, program eligibility, and the specific purpose of each fundraising campaign or grant.

Community Fundraising & Partnerships

ASHF brings together families, businesses, donors, and community organizations to create sustainable support for Hawaiʻi hockey players.

Initiatives may include community fundraisers, donation campaigns, business sponsorships, grants, apparel collaborations, and in-kind contributions such as travel, lodging, equipment, printing, or event support.

Through these partnerships, we aim to reduce costs for families while strengthening the broader hockey community in Hawaiʻi.

Girls Hockey Development

ASHF is committed to expanding opportunities for girls to participate, compete, and continue developing within Hawaiʻi’s hockey community.

Current and future efforts may include:

  • Supporting girls tournament teams

  • Developing a 13U girls travel program

  • Creating skills and development opportunities

  • Building partnerships with girls and women’s hockey organizations

Our goal is to help create a clearer and more sustainable pathway for girls who want to continue playing and competing as they grow.

Our Impact

Aloha State Hockey Foundation is creating more opportunities for Hawaiʻi hockey players to compete, develop, and stay connected to the game.

Our work focuses on reducing the financial and geographic barriers that families face when pursuing travel, tournament, and developmental opportunities. Through fundraising, partnerships, and community support, we help make those experiences more accessible while strengthening Hawaiʻi’s growing hockey community.

More Access

Helping reduce the cost of travel, tournament registration, uniforms, equipment, and other eligible expenses associated with off-island hockey opportunities.

More Opportunity

Supporting pathways for players to compete, develop their skills, and represent Hawaiʻi beyond the islands.

Stronger Community

Bringing together families, businesses, donors, teams, and community partners to support the continued growth of hockey in Hawaiʻi.

As our programs expand, we will continue to track and share measurable results, including the number of players and families supported, tournament opportunities made more accessible, girls hockey initiatives launched, and community partnerships formed.

To us, impact is more than a number. It can mean helping a player attend a first mainland tournament, easing part of the financial burden on a family, or creating an opportunity that did not previously exist.

Partner With Us

Creating more opportunities for Hawaiʻi hockey players takes a strong community of supporters.

Aloha State Hockey Foundation welcomes partnerships with businesses, nonprofit organizations, hockey programs, community groups, and individuals who believe geography should not limit how far a player can go.

Corporate Sponsorships

Corporate partners can help support travel, tournament registration, uniforms, equipment, girls hockey initiatives, clinics, and other developmental opportunities.

Sponsorships may be structured around a specific program, team, event, fundraising campaign, or broader Foundation initiative.

In-Kind Support

Meaningful support does not always have to be financial. In-kind partners may contribute goods, services, or resources that reduce costs and help our programs operate more effectively.

Examples include:

  • Airline miles or travel assistance

  • Hotel accommodations

  • Ground transportation

  • Equipment and uniforms

  • Printing and promotional services

  • Food and event support

  • Professional and technical services

  • Fundraising venues and opportunities

Community Collaborations

We welcome opportunities to work with local leagues, teams, coaches, schools, nonprofits, artists, and community organizations on projects that strengthen hockey in Hawaiʻi.

Collaborations may include fundraisers, clinics, tournaments, player-development events, girls hockey initiatives, community outreach, and co-branded apparel through Aloha State Hockey Co.

Let’s Create More Opportunities Together

Whether you are interested in sponsoring a program, donating goods or services, hosting a fundraiser, or developing a community collaboration, we would be grateful for the opportunity to connect.

Together, we can help Hawaiʻi hockey players compete, develop, and proudly represent the islands.
